Two things should logically follow: prices should drop, and quality should rise. That is the normal mechanic of competition when production costs fall.

From this observation came a simple idea.
If we can ship faster, better, cheaper, why not make it a product that ends the dependency on hosting? A tool that runs on the machine of whoever uses it. That works without an account in the file. That stores its working data on its user's device.

Pass the gain on into price and quality
Rather than keep the margin, we decided to pass it on to the customer. Affordable prices, stated clearly product by product. Finish pushed to the max. Direct email support, no chatbot.

To go all the way with the idea of independence, we had to leave the model where software and data live at the publisher's. A standalone file that contains everything, runs offline day to day, and stores its working data on the device of whoever uses it.
